A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…
ContinueIt can be popular and correct to state that technology should not dictate our business strategy - nor should it dictate the way we learn or perform.
With that in mind - technology is changing business strategies and the way we learn and perform - perhaps faster than we can change our business, our learning and our performing.
The Accountable Learning Organization model asserts that the use of technology is mandated - not only for scale and to sustain solutions - but increasingly for relevance. We must stay current (and even ahead of technology changes) and make conscious choices to include or exclude emerging technologies - versus building a defensive response supported by our lack of practical understanding of emerging technologies.
Each panelist will be asked to respond to how "technology" relates to their application of the Accountable Learning Model to a current problem (one of the 10 defined on 2016 or a different one of their choice.)

Comments made on this question:
Many perspectives were shared that I did not get a chance to capture, but of everything shared, the first thing I am going to ask the board to focus on is how do we get the parents more involved with the students. This is something we have not done up to this point and I believe from the discussion, it would bring big benefit to the students in preparing for the future.
We spent the last few minutes discuss the impact of AI in the future and what types of challenges that would present to society and to engineers. Comments were:
That’s all I have
