Georgia LEARNS 2018 - November 7, 8 & 9 - See Tab above

Leveraging Every Available Resource Non-Stop

A Different Plan – Georgia LEARNS(sm) is an economic development Platform. We engage with Executives involved in Nonprofits, Learning Technology, Technology, Investment, Academia and Consulting. The Platform identifies and funds projects focused on establishing Georgia as the global leader in the effective use of the ALO(sm) in support of "Performance Assurance" across all spectra of learning. The projects and outcomes will speak louder than words as we maintain this reputation and earn investments from a wide range of sources. These projects will be self-sustaining and produce an ongoing stream of visible results measured in jobs and economic benefits for those that participate. We collaborate with organizations around the world that are open to supporting these initiatives to accelerate positive global impact.

What do we ask from you? – Join us – everyone is welcome. Help us define and implement projects that create verifiable outcomes, embrace effective technologies and leverage purposeful collaboration. Our expectation is that you will generate income for your organization while helping Georgia LEARNS(sm) create better results, faster and less expensively than we would have been able to do without your help.

"Detroit never supported mass transit, in fact, the auto companies aggressively killed mass transit around the US in order to sell more cars. However, regional mass transit initiatives now are stalled in Detroit/Michigan due to an uncertain, albeit…"

"Good point about the CLO to CEO one-trick concern. This is also the concern when the CEO has migrated from Sales or Marketing or Operations or Finance or R&D. The "candidate" overcomes this concern with a track record that includes…"

"I think about the first mile too - and I wonder about "autonomous only" zones or lanes. Perhaps truck-drivers would primarily be needed for the first and last mile and could also meet trucks along their long-haul trips. Trucks might also…"

"Hi David!  I like what you wrote. Especially this: "Typically a founder will often migrate from the CEO role when revenues reach various thresholds typically 5/10/$15 million."When discussing this topic @ the conference table, I said…"

Bill Crose replied to Paul Terlemezian's discussion Segment 3 (18) Performance Analytics
"Yes, Paul. We'll all need something interesting to do while cars drive us where we need to go. Some will work while others, like Troy and those in his camp of self-motivated learners, will learn new skills. Walt Disney said, "There's…"

"Hi Paul! A Saba VP told me they banned email throughout the company to drive up usage of their (new at the time) social media function. I thought it sounded crazy, but it seemed to work for them. I always knew I wanted to try it. So, when I needed a…"

Paul Terlemezian replied to Paul Terlemezian's discussion Segment 12 (18) Collaborative Working Sessions
"I believe that competition and collaboration are both important - both very valuable - and both misunderstood. Competition is intangible - do we really understand what we are competing against - and is the competitor really a competitor? Are we…"

"Bill - we have experienced how "GPS" technology has evolved quickly - and being from Michigan - you have probably been aware of autonomous vehicles longer than most of us. While "driving" as we know it may eventually be very…"

Paul Terlemezian replied to Paul Terlemezian's discussion Segment 2 (18) Workforce Readiness

Paul Terlemezian replied to Paul Terlemezian's discussion Segment 1 (18) - Performance Assurance
"Bill - thanks for describing the experiences that resulted in where you are today. Being able to envision something - before it is possible/practical - may increase our ability to recognize innovations that make it possible/practical."

Bill Crose replied to Paul Terlemezian's discussion Segment 12 (18) Collaborative Working Sessions
"Conference Reflection:I've never understood why competition is a higher valued skill than collaboration. Competition is difficult but necessary to "turn off" when collaboration is required. This can be counter-productive, even harmful…"
