2015 Segment 7 Better Information

This segment will run from 9:45 to 10:45 on Wednesday, October 14th.

Panelists will have three to five minutes to present questions related to what they want to learn from the audience as well as present what they believe the audience can learn from the panelist's experience regarding how "Better Outcomes" are resulting from "Better Information."  Each panel will be followed by 30 minute breakout discussion sessions.

During the breakouts the panelists may share their experiences and questions related to "Better Thinking" and "Better Design" that resulted in seeking  or working with "Better Information."

We spend time and money on gathering information and benchmarking and/or extrapolating. This seems smart - especially when (if) the information is relevant and accurate.

How do we avoid the trap of making decisions based on the information we have or that we know how to collect and analyze? If it is difficult for us then it may be difficult for our others too - and perhaps that is why no one is happy about existing solutions.

How do we allocate our budgets for this "challenge to our thinking." Would the money be spent before, during or after we build the solution - in what proportions?

How do we obtain better information faster to produce better outcomes? Do we need to have the information before we make a decision? Is it only useful after our decision? Could information be something we collect as we implement our solutions?
