A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

I choose to paraphrase one of the many things I have learned from the work of Peter Drucker.
"Economic growth without an improved well being of the society is failure."
Drucker wrote about this in 1939.
- How do we make the money we need to continue to do good - without protecting our IP?
- Are we willing to try?
- What if we could do more good faster and make more money while doing so?
- What if we did more good faster and no longer needed to make money to do so because the social problem was solved?
- What new problems would result because we did this?
