A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. Paul, a very positive TED talk. Thank you. For many years American industry has been removing layers of management so as to get closer to customers. Contrast this with US healthcare with so many layers of bureaucracy leading to much higher costs and much lower outcomes compared to so many other countries. Collaboration between the administration and the consultants, doctors, nurses and aides is a terrible challenge. Slowly improving but a long way to go. Similarly with universities and the friction between administration and the faculty and the priority of the needs of students.
