Continuous Learning in Decision Making

  • What are learners experiencing now that learners have never or rarely experienced before?
  • Who is capable of preparing learners for what has never been experienced before?
  • How do we know if our learning investments are working?
  • Who needs to be accountable for the success of these investments?

During this session we will provide an overview for each of the sessions listed below.

  5. "Remarkable" speakers who listen without speaking until the very end when they report on what they learned by reading the online discussions and observing the panelists and breakout rooms.
  6. You  - in any of the above rules and/or via your online engagement via comments.

  1. What future do you wish for yourself?
  2. Who do you want to make the decisions about what you want for yourself?
  3. Who do you trust to make decisions for you regarding the first two questions?
  4. Who is responsible for helping your children make decisions regarding the first three questions?
  • What does it mean to be responsible?
  • Who is accountable for the failure to be responsible?
  • What consequence is fair as a result of not being responsible?
  • What is true about not being responsible?

Which do you prefer?

  • An exactly correct answer all the time.
  • A mostly right answer most of the time.
  • The ability to deal with uncertainty

I asked ChatGPT:

"I would like a short answer (20 words or so) Will it ever be possible for one professor to educate 10,000 times the students they educate today, in one twentieth the time and one 200th of the cost and earn 5 times as much for doing so - with assistance from AI?"

Would you be willing to ask the same question - and compare follow up questions and answers?

Attached is the PPT that supported the session on October 14 and it includes the results from the survey.

Another survey response came in today:

Q1What are learners experiencing now that learners have never or rarely experienced before?

The ability to learn on their own and go as deep or wide as their curiosity takes them.

Q2 Who is capable of preparing learners for what has never been experienced before?

Q3 How do we know if our learning investments are working?
