What Are You Measuring?

A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

Recently, I was approached by a company, that heard a podcast I had done in collaboration with Chris Kopp and offered their services to help me write a book. I had not written a book since I was seven years old - so I was intrigued - was there another book in me?

So then, I got serious and asked ChatGPT a few questions and part of one of its answers intrigued me:

Collaboration Between Authors and Readers: With social media and online communities, authors can interact more directly with their readers. This trend might grow, fostering collaborative storytelling, reader involvement in content creation, and new ways of engaging with books beyond the text itself.

Is this possible - yes. Desirable - maybe? Why? For whom? Help me learn....

I would like to attend this but I have a conflict. Will it be recorded Paul?

Thanks,

Michelle

Hi Michelle, my preference is to not record. I am unsure of the impact to the participants and how to protect the use of the recording.
