A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

I am eager to hear how you want to benefit from this community. Please provide:

  1. A short answer
  2. A long answer
  3. A ChatGPT assisted answer

and then let me know which of your three answers you liked the best - and why!

I just did that by:

  1. Drafting a long answer
  2. Developing a short answer
  3. Submitting the long draft to ChatGPT and conversing with it to get its response.

I am eager for 1-on-1 conversations to share what we learned and to learn how you might use this process to assure your success with your interests.

Here is what I learned from listening:

  1. Continue to allow anyone to lead a session on any topic - the narrower the better
  2. Consider a buddy or mentoring approach
  3. Determine how to measure success
  4. Leverage the offer for free use of tools from Chuck
  5. Be more explicit regarding the freedom of options (e.g. in person)
