Media Across the Enterprise: Utilizing New Media and Communication Solutions to Achieve Business Results

Background:

Enterprise organizations are delivering content using all types and forms of digital media to educate, inform and train: customers, employees and students.

Over the past few years, we have experienced the convergence of video and data, the blending of media channels, unified communications, and collaboration.  Basically, everything is coming together. 

We have become a video and media-centric society: Progressing to the point “…where virtually everyone can be reached everywhere, all of the time, on devices of all types and screens of all sizes.”

Organizations are leveraging new media and vendor partnerships to provide solutions incorporating key components of the entire video and media ecosystem including:

content creation and production to recording, editing and format conversion;

content management and archiving, delivery, display, and network management;

and audience interaction and testing to tracking, evaluation and measurement. 

Desired objectives and outcomes for the roundtable discussion on Media Across the Enterprise:

1. Conduct a high-level discussion on industry trends and the potential for Collaboration amongst Georgia Learns entities to provide media-based solutions to Georgia based organization to enhance and improve business results.
2. Each participant to share the challenges they are facing and how they are addressing them.
3. Identify Georgia based organizations with relevant solutions and services.
4. Determine concepts and/or basis to collaborate on opportunities.
5. Leverage the Georgia Learns platform and participating entities to nurture and manage success.
6. Express opinions and provide perspective on this Georgia Learns ning site.
