A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

GLN 2023 - ReachOutAbout - Riipen
Recently, I was introduced to Riipen, a platform for helping employers and students collaborate on real industry projects to bridge the gap between higher education and employment.
Riipen has an international base of universities that fund these efforts. There is no cost to the industry partner.
The platform allows for:
- The universities to describe experiences which are open to industry participation.
- Industry participants to describe projects which are open to university participation.

- Welcome and introductions
- Segment A – 10 minutes – Riipen will present a product overview
- Segment B – 10 minutes – Open Q&A with the group focused on clarification from Riipen
- Segment C – 10 minutes - Riipen is muted and off-camera as the group talks about what it thinks could be done to collaborate with each other and Riipen.
- Segment D – 10 Minutes – Riipen returns unmuted and with camera on - and then leads open conversation about next steps (potentially to include research, online discussion, and another (closure?) meeting.)
