What Are You Measuring?

Posted by Bill Crose on September 13, 2019 at 11:33am 1 Comment

A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

Are there habits that are common to success? If so - we know they can be taught. How are they learned. sustained, and proven to have impact?

Several members of our community have been experiencing, discussing, and piloting the use of Learn.Net's Habit Building Technology, As we have gained confidence with the technology we have been exploring various ways to leverage the technology for business impact. During this session, each of the panelists will be sharing their perspectives.

Questions to explore may include how this technology may be used to create measurable impact by:

  • Reinforcing training content
  • Qualifying prospects for training content
  • Increasing engagement with content
  • Delivering micro-scenarios
  • What other best practices might we imagine?

There are six projects that GLN 2025 will be accelerating. I believe that habits and/or the Learn.Net technology can be an important part of each. Here are the six projects

  1. Where Have All the Leaders Gone? - Overview
  2. AI Truth and Consequences for Education
  3. Leading Behind the Wheel - Overview
  4. A Different Approach - Overview
  5. Literacy Leap - Overview
  6. Reducing Recidivism - Overview

Whose "habits" impact the success of these projects?

  • Are they aware of the impact?
  • Do they self-identify with the impact?
  • Have they realized a benefit from altering the habit?
  • Have others seen the benefit?
  • Do they wish to advocate for the impact?
