A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…
ContinueHere is the description of the Workshop for this Segment that Jim provided.
Training is still "on trial," charged with incurring expenses in excess of the value it provides to the organization. Training must reinvent itself and transcend the classroom. The traditional view of Kirkpatrick will yield to the new world version. One of the powerful new features that will be presented is the importance of designing and weaving evaluation into major initiatives from the start, not as an add on.
Attend this hands-on Kirkpatrick workshop to learn tactics for building programs and initiatives that enhance on-the-job performance and impact the bottom line. The information and activities included in this workshop focus on specific tactics at Kirkpatrick Levels 3 and 4. You will learn ideas that all professionals can implement in their own organizations.
Whether you are new to learning and development or an industry veteran, this workshop will teach you the newest and most powerful ways to implement the four levels, directly from the creators of the Kirkpatrick Model.

This should be an interesting and welcomed workshop. Over the years I have been developing training I have to admit that Level 3 and Level 4 have often been viewed similarly to hearing that the client content needs to meet Section 508 criteria. Each seem so elusive and hard to define and determine if they are actually being met or measured accurately.
