A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

Zoom Link to Podcasts for Purpose TeachAbout - February 3, 2022 - noon Eastern USA
Chris has been an active member of Georgia LEARNS since 2019 following an introduction by Richie Cullom. Chris is one of a small group of people who attended the ALO Workshop in 2019. He is also an E5T5 Charter Member (Group 7 with Susan Levy, Seth Oberman and Amanda Sutt) and has been active in Affinity Groups and our Annual Conference. Please review his LinkedIn profile to learn more about him personally and professionally.
I am eager to learn from Chris about the use of Podcasts and will be listening with the "ALO in mind." In particular I am wondering about "Interactive Podcasts" and have spoken to Larry Mohl - CEO of Rali about this potential.
Please join the TeachAbout - February 3, 2022 at noon Eastern USA and participate in this online discussion - before, during, or after the live event.

I'm excited about being part of the GLN TeachAbout and discussing Podcasts for Purpose.
Here's my quick story...
A former coworker (Joe Pusz, founder of The PMO Squad) approached me Spring of 2021 about hosting a podcast for a Community he was creating called The PMO Leader (similar to PMI for Project Managers but for PMO Leaders instead).
Never having done a podcast before, of course I said "sure". Then set to figuring it out.
It started with just an idea, and now we are about 8 episodes in and it is a blast! I can't wait to record the next episode each month, have guests lined up through November 2022, and have learned A LOT about PMO topics, but also the art and science of putting together a good podcast.

This session will be an opportunity to hear what's on your mind, share my experience and path I followed, and answer any questions you may have.
See everyone on Thursday!
Chris
Chris - thanks for the back story. I am eager to learn from your experiences and insights and also eager to learn from the questions raised by the panelists. See you soon!
Chris is a true expert. He brings it all - listening, collaboration, agreeing on the content areas, smooth and effective voice, relaxed and purposeful, the technical know how, and much more !!!! I am excited to tell you that I have first-hand experience with Chris as we did a podcast together (Episode 05) at above URL.
Thanks Henry. Your $20 is on the way....
Chris -
I look forward to learning more about: 1. How you got started and "figured it out", 2. What was required (technology and content wise) to get ramped up, 3. What you're doing to build your "tribe", or community of podcast followers/listeners. Looking forward to a great session!
Great questions Wayne. I'll answers what I can for sure.
Looking forward to our discussion this afternoon. Here's some talking points that can help with the discussion.
