A lifetime ago, my training department colleagues and I were satisfied with training data. We cranked out the requested ILT programs plus the "flavor of the year" content, we kept a busy training schedule, and made sure the coffee was always the right temperature. When accused of not delivering effective training because the learners didn't perform as they were trained, we took refuge in our management support role and not ultimately responsible or accountable for LEARNING or productivity.…

GLN 2024 - Georgia LEARNS 2025

Our first Georgia LEARNS Conference was a 5-Hour luncheon attended by 50 Executives from a wide variety of functions across a wide spectrum of education segments. Since then the format and the content have varied while the intent has remained the same:
- Build Relationship
- Earn Trust
- Value Perspectives
- Design Collaboratively
- Implement Effectively
- Adapt for Self-Sufficiency
Beginning in 2020 we adjusted due to COVID-19 and adopted a virtual format.
What will Georgia LEARNS 2025 look like? Will there be a Georgia LEANS 2035, 2045, 2075, 2125?
If there will be - it will be up to you. Please offer what you wish for Georgia LEARNS to be - and the role you wish to have. I promise to listen and respond to every expressed idea.
